Participation Guide
Purpose:
Hidden Treasures Mixtape seeks to make known in all participating countries, through the intermediary of broadcasting organisations, outstanding contemporary works composed by women.
Participation:
- Every public broadcasting organisation is invited to nominate a delegate.
- More than one public broadcasting organisation from a given country can participate.
- For countries where the public broadcasting organisation is not participating, participation is open also to private ones.
Procedure for presenting works
- Each participating organisation should submit one work composed between 1955 and 2020 by a female composer.
- Works by composers of any nationality may be presented.
- Works of any aesthetic trend and duration may be presented.
- The work is presented in the form of a recording.
Excluded from presentation are:
- A composer whose work has previously been selected or recommended at the International Rostrum of Composers.
2. Works by composers who have already achieved international fame.
3. A work which has already been awarded a prize in an international contest in which several broadcasting organisations will have participated.
4. More than one work by the same composer in any given year.
Submission
- The recording shall be uploaded to the Rostrum FTP server (provided by EBU) by December 18, 2020. The recordings shall comply with the average technical requirements according to EBU rules.
To access the FTP server, an FTP Client software (i.e. Filezilla) can be used with the following credentials:

If you encounter some problems during the upload, you can transfer the file via Wetransfer (or similar) addressed to rostrum[at]imc-cim.org.
Your file should be renamed as following: HTM_Country_Surname of the composer (ex. HTM_Poland_Penderecki).
Please do not submit any other file than the recording.
- The file should include, if possible, a recording of the correct pronunciations of the titles of the works and the names of the composers and performing artists.
- Online registration must be completed by December 18, 2020.
Please note that analytical, biographical and editorial notes must be provided only by filling the online registration. No other documents will be taken into account. Failing to provide analytical, biographical and editorial notes by the deadline will result in a total or partial exclusion from the digital booklet.
- If available, scores in electronic format shall be sent by email to rostrum[at]imc-cim.org
Listening
The complete list of works presented by all participating broadcasters will be available for download as for January 15st.

Concerts and broadcasts
- Each participating broadcasting organisation undertakes to broadcast, or to schedule for broadcasting or live performance, before the 31st of December 2021 at least 10 works from other countries. The choice of the works to broadcast is entirely free.
- Each participating broadcasting organisation must report in writing to the International Music Council, before the 31st of December 2021, the works of its choice, as well as the date of broadcasts and concerts on which they will be, or have been presented.
- It is strongly recommended to present these works in public concerts.
Visibility
- In the broadcast or concert presentation of Hidden Treasures Mixtape works, mention must be made that these were chosen at the Hidden Treasures Mixtape, organised by the International Music Council.
For online and offline (e.g. concerts) communication, the IMC logo should be used (available upon request).
- The International Music Council will provide exposure to the action as well as the presented composers through all its online channels.
Participation Fees
The International Music Council offers free registration to any interested broadcasting organisation.
