The classic music radio channel adjusts its fresh, modern, personal approach programme offer to the today’s life style. At the same time, one of our most important mission is the popularization of classical music, so that Hungarian listeners become acquainted with the great opuses of Hungarian and international composers. This is a living tradition of the 90 years old Hungarian Radio, and we wish to continue it in the 21st century, too. Beside our exciting and multi-coloured music programmes, we offer magazines with the latest news from culture, exclusive concert recordings of the greatest stars, live coverages of opera performances and concerts. Our aim is to expand the scope of our listeners in each age-group, therefore, we broadcast a one-hour programme presenting contemporary music every day, a lot of folk music and jazz. During the night, our programme “Notturno” completes our offer, by which we guarantee high-level entertainment for our listeners around the clock.
Since its foundation in 2011, MTVA has unified and streamlined all content production and asset management activities for the entire Hungarian public service media, thus becoming the largest media service organization in Hungary
MTVA provides approximately 40,000 hours of television, as well as 52,000 hours of radio programming each year. Programmes are also transmitted beyond Hungary -, to Europe, the American continent and Australia. MTVA’s content is broadcast daily, into an estimated 99% of Hungarian homes.
